Job Role:

As a CFO, you will be the corporate officer for multiple small business clients. You will be responsible for overseeing the finance, payroll and other operational areas. You will also be responsible for managing the financial risks of all assigned clients.


  • Develop a system to account for financial transactions by establishing and maintaining a chart of accounts. Define bookkeeping policies and procedures for clients.
  • Balance general ledger by preparing a trial balance and reconciling entries.
  • Oversee accounts payable process including client's check runs.
  • Oversee preparation of client invoices, review accounts receivable to identify collection issues
  • Oversee recording of cash receipts and make bank deposits.
  • Conduct a monthly reconciliation of every bank and credit card account.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts to ensure their accuracy.
  • Make necessary month end closing entries.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly financial statements and other schedules as requested by clients.
  • Maintain annual budget, calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to client.
  • Process client payroll and ensure proper entry in general ledger.
  • Manage multiple client relationships
  • Be a proactive liaison with the client's tax CPA, banker, attorney, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned from time to time by clients or other team members. 
  • Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.



  • Leadership experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration. CPA desired.
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles. 
  • Candidates must have a hands-on working knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software.
  • Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing.
  • Must be able to keep client matters strictly confidential.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills.
  • Ability to approach workload with positive energy and enthusiasm.
  • Must be organized and able to process large amounts of information.
